My Journey: Fems'a got to be joking me !

Ok, I asked Fema to check out my camper for Fimilhide? {I know I spelled it wrong!!} Anyway, the fema man came to check it. He said they don't have any type of instrument tester, that he was told to use his NOSE!! Boy, what a joke. He asked why I wanted it tested. I told him because I've been sick alot since I've came home. He said usually there is a smell. I said yes I know I had to air it out for a long time when I first got it. He said yes they use it in the carpets and stuff. Then he said, "the only thing we can do is bring you a new one." Wow, then I'd have to go threw the new smell all over again. Yea, sure let me get it full strength again !! HaHa. I don't think so !! ................God Bless...........................

There are meters that measure the amount of Formaldehyde in a given area. Obviously FEMA did not feel they needed to go to the expense of purchasing one. It can cause nausea, headaches, allergies and a whole host of other symptoms. Stand your ground and get it taken care of. I know you have a new house coming, but if you can get another trailer - and it doesn't smell, go for it.

Thank-you Wendy, I know that Fema should have a meter or something. It's really crazy! I'm sick again, and have been for over a week now. It's got to be something keeping me sick. Both of my ears are aching & clogged up, and bad congestion. I've been trying to take over the counter meds, but not doing any good. I go to the doctor tommorrow. Hoping to get some antibiotics or something. And I really do believe its from this trailer. But we can't fight Fema. It was a joke that man coming here to smell! Thanks for your thoughts & consideration.I'll call and try talking to them again. GodBless,Pat

Wendy, I forgot, but he said it would be a new trailer again. So I think I'd just be getting it full force again ! And I for sure don't want that. I'll see what fema has to say again !! God Bless, Pat
